Dear Chelan PUD customer:
Removing three trees likely damaged in last December’s storms will require a power outage Tuesday for about 450 Chelan PUD customers near Lake Wenatchee. The outage, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, is needed so the contract tree crew and PUD linemen can work as safely and quickly as possible to remove the trees and repair damaged power lines nearby. No impact on access to services over PUD fiber is expected.
The outage will affect customers on Cedar Brae, including the state park and Kahler Glen. MAP
Bill Sanborn, PUD utility vegetation program manager, cautions Lake Wenatchee-area customers that trees could continue to fall (or need to be removed) as snow melts and damage is exposed. Also, as the ground thaws there is the potential for storm-damaged roots to loosen, causing trees to lean and fall. If you see a tree that looks damaged and could threaten power or fiber lines, please call Chelan PUD at (509) 661-4508.
For more information and tree-related questions, contact Bill Sanborn, PUD utility vegetation program manager, at email@example.com or (509) 661-4508.
Customers who have questions about this outage can contact Customer Service Representative Karla Hupp at firstname.lastname@example.org or (509) 661-8400.
