The plume from the 25 Mile fire burning South of lake Chelan was very visible to the Northeast from the lake on Sunday. The fire has burned 11,257 acres, has 506 personnel assigned and is 32% contained. The Sunday smoke was apparently attributable in part to back-burning by firefighters. There is no present threat to the Lake Wenatchee area.
There is a Red Fag Warning for high fire danger in effect in the Lake Wenatchee area from noon to 9PM today, Monday, August 30th.
