Our law enforcement agencies and various volunteer rescue groups have been called upon heavily already this year with seemingly non-stop back-country,  mountain  or white water rescue missions. There have been several fatalities in those incidents. A recent one had a very happy ending with the finding of a young girl after she spent a night in the woods after becoming separated from her family.  Below, with his permission, is a Facebook photo and write-up of the happy ending by Jeff Paton of the Chelan County Mountain Rescue Association, one of the several volunteer groups involved in this rescue mission.  These folks deserve our gratitude and support………………

The long days of training, the late nights approach trails, the interrupted plans, ?the hairy helicopter flights, and the cold feet and hands are all made deeply worthwhile when a 10-year old girl who became lost overnight in the wilderness, is reunited with her family and joy rules the day. She will remember this hug for the rest of her life.
