The bear in the photo stood on a locked can to deform it and pull out the trash. He proceeded to spend 30 minutes outside our neighbors back door, undeterred by lights and noise while snacking.
The shackles and clasps (that need to be undone on garbage morning) are no long proving to be effective. A different bear, also caught on camera, performed the same trick on our can a few days later. We have both ordered the reinforced official bear cans.
We have heard that some of the cans may be out of stock but you can put in an order for when they are back in stock.
