We did a drive along both sides of the lake this morning and saw several places where trash cans had been opened and the trash scattered by bears. They’re hungry when coming out of hibernation and can be aggressive in their search for food before berries and other natural foods blossom and grow.  Also beware walking dogs at night-  make a lot of noise and use lights.  A local resident was mauled several years ago walking his dog in darkness.
