For a number of years a committee of the regional transportation planning committee has been working on identifying ways to enhance our transportation infrastructure with better support for bikes, e-bikes, and other light weight, small footprint transportation modes. This is an effort that will take many years to complete but community input is important early in the process. None of these are in the lake area, but we know there are many member of the Lake Wenatchee Info community that ride and/or host guests who ride. Much like the Apple Loop Trail the proposed routes can positively impact traffic and provide a draw for additional tourist revenue.
The project team has identified four recommended pathway routes for the Chelan-Douglas Regional Pathways project. We used community input and analyses considering issues such as feasibility, and anticipated impacts, to determine the recommended routes. Now we need your input on the recommendations before we create the final plan. Read below to see details about each route and offer your input! You can weigh in at this link.
