As of Tuesday afternoon Highway 97 over Blewett Pass has re-opened.  This should significantly reduce congestion on Rt 2.  Despite the reopening, pilot car operations and a reduced speed zone will be enforced between mileposts 165 and 178, from Upper Tronson Creek Road to Ingalls Creek Road, acording to WSDOT officials.
