A ban on outdoor burning has been imposed by Chelan County Commissioners effective June 1st. This prohibits burning of slash, yard waste, pine needles, yard rakings, etc. Small campfires are allowed so long as they are in an approved-type campfire pit. Chelan County Solid Waste offers free brush and limb disposal at the Dryden transfer station June 2nd and 3rd and July 9th and 10th from 8:30 AM to 4PM. This is located at 9073 US Hwy 2 just East of the Big Y junction and is accessible only from the Eastbound lanes. Trees & limbs up to 12” diameter , leaves and pine needles are accepted; rocks, grass clippings, sod, root wads and noxious weeds will not be accepted.
