From Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue:   Effective at noon Wednesday May 28th open burning is closed for the season in Chelan County Fire District  9 / Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue.

This is a few days earlier than expected but due to committed fire resources and an expected wind event on Thursday, the decision has been made to end debris burning in piles.

Campfires in approved pits, bbqs, and propane devices are still allowed.
