The fire service in Chelan and Douglas counties has lost a good friend with the recent passing of Cary Ulrich. He succumbed to lung cancer in Wenatchee on October 28th. Cary was a freelance photographer for many years in North Central Washington and for the last seven years had migrated into fire photography and fire investigation. He had a long history with Chelan County Fire District 1 but was known and admired by all fire affiliations in our area for his diligence in photographing significant fires in our region but also for his learning the fire business by attending, participating in and filming training drills. He will be missed. His gift for capturing fire on film will be his legacy and all can enjoy and honor that legacy by viewing his work at his website at http://cuphoto.zenfolio.com/ Please be mindful that these photos are copyrighted and should not be used or reproduced without proper permission and attribution. Thank you, Cary!
