South Leavenworth, 913 Front St., is hosting a Benevolent Day event for Cascade Medical Foundation from 11 am to closing on Thursday, May 21. Proceeds (a portion of every meal sold during the event) will go to the Mark Judy Memorial Caregiver Education Fund, providing scholarships to Cascade Medical employees.
The fund was created in 2023 in honor of Mark Judy, a former Cascade Medical CEO and Foundation Board Member. In the past 3 years, the fund has provided more than $15,000 in scholarship funds to 17 employees. In March this year, scholarships were awarded to seven employees across four departments. The goals is to continue to grow the program each year.
The benevolent events are one of the ways Cascade Medical Foundation raises funds throughout the year to support our mission: “To enhance and financially support Cascade Medical’s ability to deliver quality healthcare to our community.” Proceeds from the other benevolent events this year, including an upcoming July 4 concert at Plain Cellars featuring music by Whisky Trail, are raising funds for our current campaign — new equipment for Cascade Medical’s Endoscopy Suite.
We also have the 2026 Marson and Marson Cascade Golf Classic coming June 22 to Kahler Mountain Club and the Jive Time in the Cascades fundraising concert on Aug. 29 at Silvara Cellars in Leavenworth, featuring music by Bandits of the Animal Kingdom.
