The Chiwawa Mosquito District is inviting residents in its boundaries to join us for a public hearing on October 15th at 7pm via Zoom. We will be discussing our budget and tax assessment for district residents for 2025. As per RCW 17.28.255,CMD board members will classify properties in the district as to the benefit they derive from our mosquito abatement activities and will assess accordingly. You are invited to contribute to this process.
This is an important hearing because the tax parcels in the Chiwawa Mosquito District (see map attached) will taxed at different rates based on benefit derived from the district as per statute. Folks were assessed an equal amount per parcel last year.
