Chumstick Highway near Plain has been closed at milepost 11.5 (the intersection of Camp 12 and Beaver Valley roads) because of a large boulder that has fallen off the rocky slopes into the roadway. Motorists will need to use the Tumwater Canyon corridor on Highway 2 to get to their destinations around the closure.

Chelan County Public Works does not have an estimated time for re-opening. The rock will need to be broken up and removed. The road will remain closed for at least all of today and into Monday.
