A virtual public hearing on the Upper Wenatchee Forest Plan was held on 1/20. The slides from this meeting are now available here Please take a look at the presentation or the interactive map which is available here.
This plan will have a number of significant impacts to our area. In order to reduce wildfire danger there will be a lot of thinning, to reduce sediment run off into streams there will be a significant number of old logging roads closed or removed.
The map above shows the roads and spurs to be removed in the Loop Hill area adjacent to Fish Lake and the See and Ski XC trail.
Many of the basins near Lake Wenatchee have been burned over the last few decades this plans goal is to get in front of the risk and make the area more resilient. If you would like to leave written comments please go here before Feb 12th.
