As a community we are devistated by the house fire that took the life of Christine Humphreys and the loss of everything at the family home on Christmas Eve. The Humphrey family has been a well known and respected part of our community since the 1920’s. During this time of loss, we as a community are coming together to help Christine’s husband John and her son Will deal with this tragedy. Since their home was totally destroyed in the fire, they are staying in Leavenworth at the Evergreen Inn and are in need of clothing and replacement of all the necessities lost in the fire. They also find themselves in an immediate financial crisis.
If you would like to help, we suggest winter clothing and gift cards for food and other items. LakeWenatcheeinfo is also coordinating a fundraiser which is available HERE.
Sympathy cards would be greatly appreciated and may be sent to:

For questions please contact Bill Freist president of the Alpine Tracts Homeowners Assoc. He is in constant contact with John who called yesterday and asked for help trying to retrieve heirlooms from the fire site this weekend.
Thank you all and God Bless the firefighters that were on this call!
With much gratitude and kindness,
Bill and Yvonne Freist
