We are sure many of your are curious about the ‘community protection line’ that was being built as part of the Wolverine Fire fighting effort. Here are two photos taken along the Chiwawa Road, one from a completed section of the fire break and one from a section that hasn’t been thinned. The line runs adjacent to current roads from the east end of Twin Lakes, to Maverick Saddle, 26 miles in total. There will be discussion about both thinning sections that weren’t completed during the fire fighting, and maintaining the line into the future, stay tuned.
We know a couple of our readers occasionally fly into the Lake Wenatchee air strip, if you could email a photo or two taken from the air it would be super appreciated. email: firstname.lastname@example.org
