The Chelan County Planning Commission and Chelan County Commissioners have recently concluded a review of the county regulations governing short-term rentals. The existing code was largely re-affirmed with a few revisions: Significant actions taken were:
Affirmation that the count of occupants of a rental shall include minors/infants.
Decreased the cap on rentals in the Manson are from 9% to 6%
Agreed that on-site fire and safety inspections of short-term rental facilities will be conducted every other year by the Fire Marshal and recommended that STR owners utilize a checklist on an annual basis to insure code compliance and safety measures.
The Commissioners will formally adopt the revisions on February 11, 2025.
