Cross Country Trails Open!

The snow this week allowed the State Park grooming team to get almost all the trails open. Daily grooming reports are available every morning here. Please purchase a snow park permit, permit’s fund all the costs of maintaining our great ski trails. Today’s conditions:

Saturday, 12/23 7 a.m. 15 degrees 4” snow past 24 hrs 4 – 10” Snow depth

Grooming Report: All trails groomed this morning except Chiwawa trails. Turning out very good despite relatively light snow cover.

South Park & Kahler Glen: 7 a.m. Snowcat groomed, tracks set. Scattered thin spots, not significant.
North Park: 4 a.m. Snowcat groomed, tracks set. Scattered thin spots, not significant.
Chiwawa: See & Ski Groomed yesterday. Less snow depth than other areas, thin spots are more numerous, but easily skied around. Too thin for grooming new Squirrel Run route. Dogs are allowed on this trail after noon every day.
Nason Ridge: Completed 7 a.m. Entire route packed, groomed, tracks set. Turned out great!

Permits Required Effective 12/22. A Season Sno-Park pass with Groomed Trails sticker will get you into all parking areas ($80). The Daily Sno-Park pass ($20) also requires an Annual or Daily Discover Pass in the park. Self-pay stations are available at each parking area within the park for daily Sno-Park and daily Discover Passes. Sno Park permits are available online: Buy a SnoPark Permit Local vendors include Plain Hardware and Midway Grocery locally, and Derr Sportsman in Leavenworth.
