US Highway 2 is now closed from Skykomish to Leavenworth. The Chumstick Highway from Leavenworth to Lake Wenatchee is open.

Today we’ve seen snow, heavy snow, rain. freezing rain and sleet. The forecast shows ice accumulation to be expected. This weather is reminiscent of the 2012 treemageddon storm in our area. Trees were brought down all over the place by icing conditions, our power was out for 11 days and the fiber system had to be completely re-built. Hoping this will not be a repeat
