Emergency Medical Service levy ballots are in the mail….

The ballots are in the mail which ask voters to approve extension/continuance of a levy which funds Cascade Medical Center emergency medical services to our area. If approved the levy will continue to support personnel costs, training, facilities, supplies and expenses related to the emergency department and ambulance service. Cascade Medical and Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue partner to provide the emergency medical and ambulance services in the Lake Wenatchee/Plain area. In 2018 LWFR responded to 185 medical emergency calls in our area- that’s 66% of all call responded to by LWFR. The partnership with Cascade has cut response times by half and the number of EMT-trained volunteers in the LWFR area has doubled.

This is an important issue to all of us, folks. This is a service vital to our citizens at large, to the large number of retirees now living in our area to the weekend visitors that recreate and are sometimes injured in our area. Please support this ballot measure!
