EVER WONDER WHAT’S ON A FIRE ENGINE?

DSC_0035_thumb.jpg

Here is a stack of equipment removed from one of Fire District 9 engines. The gear was removed while the engine was in the shop for upgrades. Also on the truck and not in this picture are ladders, one really big pump, suction hoses, spare breathing tanks, multiple pieces of extrication (Jaws Of life) equipment, 750 gallons of water and 6 firefighters. In addition to the equipment purchased by the fire district, a significant part of what you see was purchased with funds donated by the Fire District Auxiliary which raises the money through the annual Labor Day garage and bake sale and the Christmas pancake breakfast, bazaar and bake sale. Thanks for your support!!
