First snow of the year….

The first snow accumulation of the year began the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day, continued intermittently through the night and at 8:30 AM on Friday is still snowing and 33 degrees. This is pretty heavy and wet stuff so it can be slick underfoot or on the roads. Due to warm temps and melting only about 1/2 inch has accumulated on the ground. Snow reports of local snowfall on the South Shore of Lake Wenatchee, beginning today and updated in most cases on a daily basis, can be seen on this website by clicking on Reports, then under Daily Snowfall clicking on Lake Wenatchee.
