We’ve been hearing for a while that the zip lines at Mt. Springs Lodge in Plain are a lot of fun so decided to check it out. Friend Bill Moffat, my wife Jimi and I rode all eight lines there on Wednesday and after putting to rest the to-be-expected apprehension, had a great time. Hosts/guides Jason and Nate were personable, entertaining and, above all, very safety-conscious so we felt we were in good hands. There is a little bit of a walk to the first line after an equipment and safety briefing and then a short ride on a training line took away much of the concern. After the first line or two it was all fun and exhilaration. At the end of five rides we had the option to quit but unanimously went for doing the remaining three. One of those provided the extra delight of dropping fish food as we crossed over a trout pond where the Yakama Nation grows small fish. Seeing the fish go for that food was like seeing a piranha frenzy. The scenery was spectacular from some of the platforms and the rides truly fun. At the end of the day we all three resolved to take our grandkids back to experience this. Try it out- you’ll like it!
