Four Lake Wenatchee area residents have filed a lawsuit in Chelan County to overturn a $15 million dollar bond issue approved by over 60% of voters in August. Proceeds of the bond issue are targeted to fund operations of the fire department and construction of a new fire headquarters/station to replace the existing station in Plain. The existing station was built by volunteer firefighters. The proposed new station would in part provide quarters for resident para-medics, EMT’s and firefighters.
