Grooming Suspended at Lake Wenatchee State Park

skiphotoUnfortunately all grooming is suspended until we receive more snow.

There is insufficient snow for grooming of ski trails.  The sled hill is still open and in fair shape.  Note the North Park is closed effective February 17th as we remove remaining pockets of trees infected with root disease.  Though we’d prefer not to impact our ski trails, we also need snow on the ground during logging activities to protect vegetation and soils.

South Park and Kahler:  South last groomed 2/16.  We will groom most main routes with the best coverage.  No tracks set. Kahler no longer groomed.
North Park:  Closed for removal of diseased trees.
Nason Ridge: Last groomed on Mon 1/26, no further grooming until more snow.  Many bare and thin spots throughout.
Chiwawa:  Last groomed with Snow cat on 2/2.  Too many thin, bare, or wet areas for continued grooming.
Sled Hill:  Groomed Thursdays – Mondays.  Open – Should be open and groomed through the weekend.
