High/rising water alert…………..

rivergauge11-14The lake level has come up four or five feet in the last day or so. It has risen to the highest level forecast on the river flow forecast but with forecasts saying considerably more rain is probable it seems apparent that the lake/rivers will rise even more.  NWS bulletins have warned of possible flooding at a number of locations which include the Lake Wenatchee/Tumwater campgrounds.

All forecasts are not consistent but here is an excerpt taken from the NWS forecast for Stevens Pass: “Heavy rain and mountain snow will continue across the Pacific Northwest into the weekend as a strong storm system off the Gulf of Alaska brings abundant moisture onshore. Rainfall amounts will vary, but 2 to 6 inches will be common across the region through early Sunday, with higher amounts in the mountains, where heavy snowfall is also possible.”
