How to Support Local Fire Fighters

fdOur Lake Wenatchee and Ponderosa Fire Depts. have received a number of donations from folks wanting to help out in this fire effort. THANK YOU!  A number of inquiries have been received as to how to contribute food, water etc. to help the firefighters. The answer is simple: if you wish to help out, a cash donation to the Fire Department Auxiliary to help defray the cost of purchasing food would be a great way to do that, see below for details.

Support for the firefighters is provided by a a number of organizations. The state mobilization or nation team firefighters are pretty well taken care of by their integrated service teams providing water, meals, showers etc. The local firefighters of District 9 (Lake Wenatchee area) and District 4 (Ponderosa) have been fed by the members of the Fire District 9 auxiliary who buy food, prepare meals and deliver them to the firefighters where they are working. The  districts are fully stocked on water and Gatorade etc at this time not in need of additional donations of those items.

There have been some food donations etc dropped off at Fire Stations. These donations are definitely appreciated but stations are not manned at all times to receive donations. If you are driving by a station and see firefighters there and want to drop off some treats of some kind that’s always appreciated. Cash donations to the Fire Department Auxiliary to help defray to cost of purchasing food may be made by check payable to the CCFD9 Auxiliary and sent by mail to
CHELAN COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 9, 21696 LAKE WENATCHEE HIGHWAY, LEAVENWORTH, WA 98826. The auxiliary is a recognized 502(3)C charitable organization so your donations are tax deductible. If you wish to have a receipt mailed to you please attach a note to that effect on your check.

THANK YOU to an amazing community for your support!
