The Auxiliary of Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue has done it again- the annual pancake breakfast, bazaar, cookie sale and Santa House on Saturday was a hit! A great breakfast, some unique and beautiful gift opportunities, great cookies to take home and a rousing visit by Santa and Mrs. Clause made for a great day for families. This is one of two big annual events that the Auxiliary brings to the community every year to fund their providing support to our firefighters. That support comes in the way of equipment for fire apparatus, training materials and food service for our firefighters and visiting ones when they come to our aid. The true message of this event is the way the community comes together to celebrate our community and to support its fire department and each year that message comes through louder and stronger. Pictured: Santa’s cookie helpers Lynda Woltring and Sharyl Nelson; Santa and Mrs. Clause and their helper elf (who someone mentioned resembled Jim Passage, Marci Scott and Jerry Jennings), and Santa’s visitor Chloe Pobst of Plain. Thank you, Auxiliary members, for another great year!!
