Lake Wenatchee resident Terri Woods has authored and had published today a children\’s book titled It\’s a Day for Ski and Play. The book tells of a young girl awakening one morning to find it a \’bluebird powder day\’ with new snow and blue skies. As the family makes their way to their favorite ski area to play in the new snow, they enjoy their time to be young and at play and the joy of sharing precious time. Illustrations for the book were done by Terri\’s friend Leavenworth artist Tracy Valentine.
Terri and Tracy and their book will be featured in an open house at the Leavenworth library March 11th from 6PM to 8PM after speaking to Teara Dillon\’s Cascade High School production class that day. The illustrations from the book will continue on display at the library until March 18th. Publication of the book was reported in the March 6th edition of the Leavenworth Echo. Terri lives at Lake Wenatchee with her husband Evan and two sons. She is the Administrative Assistant and a volunteer firefighter in Fire District 9 at Lake Wenatchee. She has been skiing the Cascades her whole life and met her book collaborator/illustrator Tracy Valentine when she was ski patrolling at Stevens Pass.
