Chelan County Public Works advised at noon today, Wednesday May 20th,  that a downed tree and downed powerlines have closed Lake Wenatchee Highway about a half mile West of  Brown Road. The road closure is expected to last for most of the day; an opening time is not known. Motorists should use North Shore Drive.

Chelan PUD is on the scene. Motorists are urged to stay away from the area.
