Lake Wenatchee State Park “First Day Hike”

CaptureKick off the New Year with a FIRST DAY HIKE at Lake Wenatchee State Park!

Lake Wenatchee State Park near Leavenworth transforms into one of the most popular Sno-parks in Washington each winter. Take a 1.8-mile journey along the North Lake Loop for this snowshoe hike. Highlights of the trail include gorgeous scenery along the Wenatchee River, the shore of Lake Wenatchee and the forested trail. Children 10 years of age or older are welcome to join us.

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: North Park Sno-Park. Entrance is located 4.5 miles from Hwy 2 on Hwy 207 / Lake Wenatchee Highway. We will meet just beyond the contact station.

Gear: Wear appropriate winter clothes and dress in layers. Bring snowshoes, snacks and water.

Difficulty: Moderate

Other: If there is not enough snow for snowshoes, we will hike this Loop instead.  Stick around until 2:00 pm for the Annual Polar Bear Dip at the South Park.
