Are you seeing hummingbirds here around the Lake Wenatchee area?
This is your chance to have your hummingbird observations help us better understand the presence and abundance of over-wintering Anna’s Hummingbirds, here, and throughout North Central Washington. Over 50 people from Wenatchee to Leavenworth to here in the Upper Wenatchee Watershed have signed up. It’s easy:
- Maintain a feeder that stays unfrozen all year long. That could mean swapping out feeders or heating them.
- For one hour centered on the time of sunrise or sunset (30 minutes on each side) on certain days, record your hummingbird sightings. When done, enter your observations into eBird and share your checklist with NCWAHummers. That’s it!
