Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue is helping homeowners prepare for wildfire season. The agency has opened sign-ups for wildfire home assessments to help people make their properties wildfire resilient. Windblown embers are the number one reason homes ignite during wildfires. During the visit, a Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue representative will walk with owners around their home to find areas vulnerable to embers.
The assessments are free to all homeowners in the Plain and Lake Wenatchee area. To sign up for this no-cost assessment go to Prepare Your Home | LWFR
