Camp Fire North Central Washington council and Camp Zanika Lache need your help! We have two dates for the Camp Zanika clean up this year . Please join us on Saturday October 17, 2015 and again on October 24, 2015 for the annual “Make a Difference Day” camp clean-up event. The clean-up will take place at Camp Zanika Lache located on Lake Wenatchee. This yearly event helps close down summer activity areas to prepare camp for the subsequent winter. Please come spend the day, or even stay the night, helping Camp Zanika Lache ensure the following year’s children will have camp facilities ready to use.
Anybody can join the effort! No previous experience is required.
Children are always welcome and encouraged to come, as the scenic Lake Wenatchee provides a wonderful opportunity for outdoor fun and education. Volunteers skilled in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical are also encouraged to join. Work will take place from 9am to 4pm, on a number of different activities, ranging from brush removal and burning, raking leaves, chopping wood, cleaning and repairing cabins, taking down tents, closing down the waterfront area, and getting everything ready for winter activities.
Lunch will be provided. This includes coffee, tea, and a hot homemade lunch. For those that are interested in exploring the beautiful Lake Wenatchee area, free overnight lodging will be available on the Friday and Saturday nights. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to use camp facilities at no extra cost.
Camp Zanika Lache is located 30 minutes outside of Leavenworth, on Lake Wenatchee. To R.S.V.P. or for any comments and questions, please contact the Camp Site Director Thomas Everely at 509-763-3649 or the Executive Director Theresa Samuelsen at email@example.com.
Bring your gloves, pruners, rakes, and chainsaws! Get ready for some fun and hard work. Camp Fire NCW looks forward to seeing you on either the 17th or the 24 of October or see you on both days.
Thank you for all of your support!
