There is a new fire burning in the Rainy Creek area on Nason Ridge to the West of Lake Wenatchee, likely a result of the lightning activity we had Tuesday evening. The fire is reportedly now at 1 acre and burning in timbered land. LWFR site says smokejumpers are enroute. No apparent threat to structures or populated areas at this time.
