New fire along South Shore near Hidden Lake

A new fire showed itself about 6:30 PM last evening on the North slope of Nason Ridge above Cedar Brae road and the the South Shore Summer Homes, in the vicinity of Hidden Lake.  It was putting out quite a bit of smoke and was reported to Rivercom by several North Shore residents. Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue and the fire team working the White River/Irving Peak responded. The fire was estimated to be about 1/10 of an acre in size. The smoke appeared to lay down/dissipate after an hour or two but the situation is being monitored by the fire team in place.  No structures were immediately threatened but unfavorable wind/weather conditions could make this fire a concern for Cedar Brae.
