Mike Stanford grew up in our area and joined Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue while still a teenager. Over the years he has served continuously as a firefighter and EMT in our fire department and at Cascade Medical, rising to the rank of Captain in the fire department and coordinating the Emergency Medical Services for the department. He had done much for many of us.  Mike suffered a major medical emergency himself recently and has been and remains in ICU care in Wenatchee. A significant period of recovery and rehabilitation is anticipated.  Mike has done much for this community and now is the time we can in some measure re-pay a part of that.  A fund-raising effort to help Mike through his recovery has been set up at Go Fund Me.
