The Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue Auxiliary’s annual pancake breakfast, bazaar and bake sale was a big hit again and a great time for a lot of people on Saturday.  The food was good, thirty-seven gift baskets of varying themes were raffled off and the vendors present reported brisk sales. The real hit of the day was Santa who held court in his mobile workshop and heard the Christmas wishes of over 65 kids. Community members and firefighters explained the Firewise program and encouraged participation also in the free smoke alarm project currently underway in our fire district.  The auxiliary is pleased with the results of the day financially but more satisfied with the feeling of community that was there today and knowing too that good things were done for all of us to help protect this beautiful place we live. Many thanks to Stan and Mary Morgan for all their work in chairing this event! Merry Christmas to all……………
