THE PUBLIC MEETING WITH SHERIFF BURNETT PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR THE LAKE WENATCHEE REC CLUB HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE PLAIN COMMUNITY CHURCH;
Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett will host a community meeting at 6PM on August 13th to discuss ramifications and implementation of the new state law governing police response and conduct. The meeting was previously scheduled to be at the Lake Wenatchee Rec Club but due to heavy attendance at meetings already held this meeting has been moved to the Plain Community Church to accommodate a larger seating capacity.
This is a huge issue for our local law enforcement agencies that could significantly impact the response of law enforcement to incidents in our area. No response at all to some types of incidents is a very real potential consequence of the law.
