The following alert was issued February 4th by Chelan County PUD:

Significant storm damage to Puget Sound Energy (PSE) transmission lines this winter, west of Stevens Pass, could impact customers in the Upper Wenatchee Valley.

The PSE transmission lines – not expected to be fully repaired until late February – provide a back-up energy source if Chelan County PUD lines in the Upper Wenatchee Valley experience an outage. Without the back-up source from PSE, if outages occur it could take longer to restore electric service in several areas including Coles Corner, Plain, Lake Wenatchee and up the highway to Stevens Pass. The PUD appreciates customers’ patience as PSE makes system repairs.
