The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Red Flag Warning for thunderstorms, which is in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 3 PM PDT Saturday. A Series of Weather Disturbances will Move Across Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho Friday Into Saturday. These Disturbances will Have the Potential to Bring Widespread Thunderstorms with Abundant Lightning, Which Could Lead to New
Fire Starts. Thunderstorms Initially May Produce Little to No Rainfall, but will Transition to Become Significantly Wetter Late Friday Into Saturday.

Thunderstorms: Widespread Thunderstorms with Abundant Lightning
will be Possible.    Outflow winds: Gusty and Erratic winds will be Possible With Thunderstorms.  New Fire Starts are Possible from Lightning Strikes.

Please use discretion when lighting any fire during these conditions, even in legal campfire pits. Windy/hot/low humidity  conditions can easily cause a campfire to start spot fires. Just because it’s legal doesn’t mean it’s smart………..
