The article refers to the sometimes-random designations of “Urban” Shoreline Designation, the main point is that “Urban” steps back the notion of protecting the shoreline by half as much as “Rural” and was changed in 2018. So all that red there was at one time brown and somehow magically turned red in 2018. This is the crux of the main concern. The real question to all of us is: are we here because we want to be like Bellevue or because we want to be closer to nature? And what do you want your grandkids to have and see?
