Chelan County Public Works expects to be burning brush at its pit on South Shugart Flats Road near Plain on Tuesday, May 14. The work will depend on weather and the county’s permit. If, for some reason, Public Works cannot burn on Tuesday, crews will then try to burn the pile on Wednesday.
The brush pile consists of material the Leavenworth road crew has removed during regular road maintenance. The burn will cause some smoke. Public Works has contacted its local partners, including fire personnel, to let them know of the burn plans.
