When: Saturday July 8th

Time: 2:00 pm

Where: Kahler Glenn Conference Room at 20795 Kahler Drive. Take the entrance road to Kahler Glen off Cedar Brae Road, then stay right at the Y;  when you come out of the woods it’s on your right.

This will be an opportunity for local residents to get a better understanding and details of the recent Weyerhaeuser Forest Practice Applications (FPA) for Timber Harvesting above Kahler Glen, Stellerwood, Cedar Brae Road and the State Park on North Slope of Nason Ridge.  Comments to the Washington DNR on the Weyerhaeuser FPAs that have been made and being drafted be highlighted.  This will be an opportunity to discuss and determine how the local community can provide constructive, coordinated comments to the Washington DNR.

We hope to see you there,

Eric Prestbo (Stellerwood)

Tim Gallagher (Kahler Glen)

Weyerhaeuser is a neighboring timberland owner in the Upper Wenatchee River Valley.  They have recently submitted two Forest Practice Applications (FPA) to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to harvest timber on land above Lake Wenatchee (see map).  The two Weyerhaeuser FPAs can be retrieved using the links below.  The DNR accepts comments via email on the FPAs (due date NEXT WEDNESDAY 07/12/17) at and welcomes any technical or local knowledge that will help them make a better informed decision through their Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). If you want to receive more detailed information from a local resident who is engaged with Weyerhaeuser and the DNR, please email
