Rick and crew at the State Park have been grooming the Squirrel Run trail from the See and Ski Parking area. The trail starts in the back right hand corner of the parking lot and parallels Chiwawa Loop Road for 1.75 miles. At roughly 1.5 miles the trail splits into a half mile loop. If you think of the loop as a clock, there is a connector trail at 3, where you can cross the road and join the See and Ski trail.
The section closest to the parking area climbs 200′, if conditions are icy, go up this hill, and return along the See and Ski trail by the river. For current trail grooming conditions check the updated status here.
One Mile down the trail there is a sign for the Flying Squirrel trail. This un-groomed trail goes up left to the top of Loop Hill.
