From WSDOT: US 2 between milepost 84 and 99 (Tumwater Canyon), will be closed Wednesday, Sept 27th,  from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Passenger vehicles can use the Chumstick Highway as an alternate but this route is not appropriate for freight or oversized loads. The Tumwater Canyon is also closed to bicycles and pedestrians during the pre-winter maintenance work.
