A stretch of U.S. Highway 2 near Coles Corner will be repaved beginning Monday. The repavement project will span from milepost 78, west of the Highway 2/Coles Corner junction, to milepost 89, west of Leavenworth near the Chiwaukum Creek Trailhead. Minor bridgework repairs will also be performed near Nason Creek at milepost 81.
Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 14 and switch to nighttime hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on July 15 to avoid overlapping with a slope-stabilization project on four stretches of the highway that will begin that same day.
Travelers can expect to encounter single-lane closures, as well as flaggers controlling traffic.
