Beginning Saturday, May 11th and for the next several Saturdays, volunteer work parties will be scheduled to begin around 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. (depending on the preferences of the majority). As many of you may know the amount of clean-up that is needed in the campgrounds and in the entire park is far more than park staff can handle in time for the use season. Staff and volunteers have made great progress, but the work continues as the salvage loggers move through.

We will meet Saturday mornings for an orientation, safety briefing and description of the work to be done that day. Most of what is needed entails cleaning up of smaller storm debris using rakes, pitch forks and hands. However other projects may be assigned depending on the dynamics of each group and the needs for that week.
Please bring a sack lunch, water and clothing suitable for the forecasted weather. Gloves will needed for the work we will be doing.
Thanks to so many of you for all of the generous offers to help we have received over the last several months. Now is the time to get together and enjoy our beautiful park while helping to get ready for the Summer season. We think you will find your experience an enjoyable one should you decide to join us on one of these upcoming Saturdays.
Please let us know if you\’d like to join us – – you may contact Rangers at the park at (509)763-3101. Or by email at Lake.Wenatchee@parks.wa.gov
