Power has been restored to Lake Wenatchee and Plain. Internet is still off. Water dropped 3 – 4 feet over night, so still 2 to 3 feet above normal spring high water. Lots and lots of debris has rearranged itself around the lake.
PUD has turned off power to sewer pumps where the tank lids were under water to prevent the sewer treatment plant from having to treat large amounts of flood water.. We will post procedure for restoring when we learn details.
Thursday 3pm
The lake appears to be close to a top, have not seen it go higher in the last 2 hours, there hasn’t been rain since this. morning. Power is still off, apparently a transmission line went out and it is still being worked on. PUD crews are disconnecting residences where electrical panels are submerged by owner request.
Thursday 5am:
It has rained hard all night at the lake. Lake Wenatchee is now 3 or 4 feet above normal high water and coming up at about 6″ per hour. Weather apps are showing rain ending at 10am this morning, Runoff will continue to raise lake level. The Peshastin river gauge predicts a peak later today, the Plain River gauge has been offline since last night, Internet has been off since 6pm Wed.
Power is out through out the upper valley, with PUD showing 6pm tonight as estimate for fix.
We will post photos after sun rise.
