Lake Wenatchee: Grooming Report 12/13
As of Thursday Dec 13th Lake Wenatchee State Park is still in a holding pattern on grooming activities until sufficient snow pack arrives and cold temperatures return.
Based off weather forecasts from the NOAA, we do not see consistent snowfall and sufficiently cold conditions coming in the next week to maintain snow pack and permit normal grooming operations. While we have received over 17” of snow in the past two days, rain and warmer weather has damped that recent coverage.
Until a time when sufficient coverage falls, our groomers will be utilizing snowmobile rollers to pack select trails in preparation for more snowfall hopefully in the near future. Our goal is to snowmobile pack the Nason Ridge trails this weekend, conditions permitting.
No Sno-Park Permits or Passes are required for day use as of today.
Ski Plain: Grooming Report 12/14
Friday, December 14th – Today we have newly opened the following trails for skate and classic: Shotgun Meadow, and Bev’s Loop. Open for skate only is the Sprint Loop. The Beaver Creek Trail was freshly groomed for skate, and has yesterday’s classic track. Temp remain warm, with an overnight low of 31, and it is currently 32, and overcast. Some decent skiing despite the temps. The best snow (colder & deeper) can be found at the north end of our trails, at the Clear Creak Trailhead at Thousand Trails. All three trailhead parking lots are plowed and open.
